Whenever Caroline and I would pretend-box, I would always be Muhammad Ali and she would always be Smokin’ Joe Frazier.
Even though I don’t think she had ever seen Frazier box, she had his style down pat. Always moving forward, always burrowing in, always looking for the slightest opening.
I don’t think that Joe Frazier gets the credit he deserves for the courage he has shown over the years, both inside and outside the ring. I was saddened by the news of his passing today.
